fields of avalon

written by idha övelius

in the fields of avalon where we lie
tall grass is hiding us from the stormy sky
in the darkest hour you're still my friend
we swear allegiance 'til the end
and the future opens up to let us in

hear the sound
the sound of all the conversations
it don't mean a thing to me
they're all blind but we can see
when we left
we didn't even tell them why
we didn't even say goodbye
it's so hard to be satisfied

in the streets of any town where we live
everybody's got opinions that they're all gonna wanna give
always blame it all on everybody else
i know more about them than they know about themselves
i've seen it all before, but i walk on

hear the sound
the sound of all the conversations
it don't mean a thing to me
they're all blind but we can see
when we left
we didn't even tell them why
we didn't even say goodbye
it's so hard to be satisfied

[repeat]
